About CheckIfLegit

CheckIfLegit publishes automated, plain-language summaries of the public trust signals around online stores. For each store we check, where possible:

• How long the domain has been registered (via public WHOIS records)
• Whether the site has a valid SSL/HTTPS certificate
• Whether the homepage loads and links to standard contact and policy pages
• Whether public business contact details are listed
• Whether the store has a third-party review presence (e.g. Trustpilot)
• Whether it links to established social media profiles

What this is — and isn't

Every assessment is generated from information that is publicly available at the time of checking. A signal we cannot verify is reported as unknown — we never guess. These summaries are not a definitive judgement of any business, and we do not label businesses as scams. They are a starting point for your own research.
